The Greater Patapsco Community Association (GPCA) Clean-Up Committee organizes regular events, from large annual spring cleanups to smaller, targeted cleanups of litter hotspots, removing trash and recycling to beautify the area.

Key Activities:

  • Community-Wide Cleanups: Annual spring events focusing on large areas.
  • Targeted Mini-Cleanups: Smaller, frequent efforts at specific locations identified by residents or the committee.
  • Stream & Roadside Cleaning: Removing trash from streams and along roads, sometimes through Adopt-A-Highway programs.
  • Community Engagement: Organizing volunteers, partnering with other groups like Patapsco Heritage Greenway (PHG), and providing speakers for meetings.

Goals:

  • Maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the rural environment.
  • Foster a spirit of community and involvement.
  • Address litter and blight issues through direct action and awareness.

In essence, the committee mobilizes residents to keep their community clean and green, focusing on litter removal, watershed health, and promoting environmental awareness.

This Year’s Annual Community Clean-up is on Saturday April 11, 2026
